Fierce Buffalo as a Mount
The area where you find these bovine has very little in the way of other hostiles, and of the very few you find, they are fairly spread out between one another, so taming one should be easy.
As every common familiar, Fierce Buffalo doesn't require a mark or lowering of his health in order to be tamed.
