Description[]
Gilded Benthic is a tamable Elite enemy found on a very secluded island to the far North-East of the Sky Farm Camp, within the Sea of Hakanas. There is only ever one benthic circling the island at any given time. The player needs to possess an Ocean's Call in order to tame it.
“No creature in all of Hakanas is more mysterious than the benthic. Throughout the ages, sailors have shared stories of shimmering serpents floating above the seas. The benthic was even a popular masthead for cargo vessels in the late Crowns Era. Fortunately, the age of myth has passed. We now know that this creature is quite real. Taming it requires a powerful seastone. The great titan Attaius and the dragon Atadren are believed to have the components needed to craft one, but no one has managed to do so. Perhaps an enterprising adventurer will succeed one day.”

Strategy[]
Before you can even attempt to tame it, the player must craft an Ocean's Call. All of the areas known that you can look to obtaining the recipe for its mark are bosses. Firstly you can try to farm the dragon Atadren, who is located at Fort Zenen. Second, is King Soriphen, a naga/serpent looking creature who can be found down at the Rainbow Reef South of Fort Baellas. Lastly, if you can find a well-rounded group of max level, geared players, you can all take a shot at the raid boss Attaius, located within Attaius Peak. All of these bosses reside in the Sea of Hakanas. The recipe is a very rare drop, so don't expect to see it drop for quite a while.
How to Tame[]
Once you've acquired your Ocean's Call, you may attempt to tame the Gilded Benthic. As with most all Elites, it is wise to lower its HP as much as possible without killing it, to increase your chances at successfully taming it. Don't forget, if you hop onto it too soon and fail, you will be required to obtain and/or craft another mark to try again. You never need to worry about other hostiles, as there is always only ever one spawned at a time.
