Description[]
Blood Destrier is a tamable Elite enemy that can be found within the Carleon Estate instance on all difficulties. One on Story, Two on Elite, and Two on Heroic, but you'll also find Black Wind. The player needs to possess a Destrier Mark in order to tame one.
“This tragic creature was once the pride of Count Carleon, one of a stable of fine horses. The Khabimists left no soul untouched by their ruinous magic, no even the animals. Still loyal to its fallen master, this horse is now a grim steed for the vampires. To break their hold over it, a special mark is needed from Keadin, the stable master.”

Strategy[]
Since there is a difference on how many and what all spawns in the Dour Stables area where this mount resides, there are different ways of going about taming one without potentially failing and having to obtain another mark. On Story it's pretty simple, as there is only one that spawns, so just be careful about how much HP you take off it before attempting to tame. On any Elite difficulty there are always two, one of either side of the room. Unless both of them are going to be tamed, it's a good idea to get rid of one, to safely tame the other without it potentially running into the other. On Heroic difficulty is when Black Wind also appears in the middle of the room beside the stable master Keadin. There will still be two Blood Destrier's, but now, since Black Wind requires a completely different mark to obtain, unless you have one, killing him off is best for now.
How to Tame[]
In order to tame Blood Destrier, the player must obtain a Destrier Mark from Keadin the Stable Master. The mark is an uncommon drop, so players may not receive one on the first kill. But the higher the difficulty, the better the chances are of one dropping. Once the marks been obtained, it would be wise to lower the HP of the familiar to increase your chances of taming one successfully. Otherwise, you will need to obtain another mark to try again.
