Description[]
The Fortress of Sorrows is a dungeon for Level 49 and above players located in the northeast section of Cloying Waste just north of the Forgotten George.
Your Mission[]
The Fortress of Sorrows is like a maze! Luckily, I was able to get a map of the place from Moh'ruun. I've marked the most likely places they'd be holding the princess. We will rescue the princess and stop the madness within the walls of the Fortress of Sorrows. If we fail, all of Hakanas will be doomed.
~ NPC Barrant

Difficulties[]
The Story mode is the first level that you will have to complete, and it only has one stage available. Once you're inside you're teleported to the entrance of the Central Plaza. Once you're in the Central Plaza you will meet Barrant. Barrant will go through the beginning of the dungeon with you. You will need to battle a couple of the summoned Vonash before you confront the first boss Red Thorn Talos. Once you defeat Talos, you then need to go through 1 of the 3 upper Iron Gates. After going through the gate, you will go across a bridge where you will need to defeat more enemies to reach the mysterious levers on either side of the path. If you turn an incorrect lever, you will have a trap activated and fallen legion soldiers spawn and attack you. When you turn the correct lever a cut screen comes on showing the gate to the lower-level passageway lifting.
To reach the lower-level passageway you will need to use a flying mount. Once you're down on the floor you will then progress to the Power room. In order to open the gate that leads to the boss, a player will need to use the power room lever. Once the lever is activated the player will then go to the power room where they will encounter the boss, Executioner Mercurius. Once the player defeats him you will need to go and flip the power cores switch. After you do that then you will come to the final cut screen for the level. After the cut screen you will then have passed the dungeon in story mode and be able to run elite difficulty.
